I overfilled once down the street from my house and when I got home and parked the bike, gas starting leaking out of the bottom of the bike from the overflow valve on the underside of the bike near the carberator. Just obey the manual and fill only to the lower neck. I do and I get about 100 miles to the tank w/o hitting the reserve. Oh another thing, if you hit the reserve, the bike acts like shit because it doesn't like using the partical filled debris shit that settles at the bottom of the tank.
